Abstract：Onthebasisofsummarizingandintroducingurbanconnotationofeco-tourismandtherelatedresearchathomeandabroad,fromtheperspectiveofthemajorparticipantsoftheurbaneco-tourism,Shanghairesidentsarechosenastheobjectofaquestionnairestudy.TheresultsshowthattourismawarenessandconsumerbehaviorofShanghairesidentsarerelativelymatureandreflecttheclearpreferenceforthenaturalecologylandscapeandrecreationalspace.Approximately76%oftherespondentsrecognizedeco-tourisminthecity.Indifferenteco-tourismactivitiesandtheirrecognitionitisfoundthatconsumptivenessisinverselyproportionaltotherecognitionoftheactivities,whichisinlinewiththebasicprinciplesofeco-tourism.Although70.94%arewillingtoassumeecologicalresponsibilityinthetourismprocess,amongthem51.92%takeitasthepremisethattheireconomicutilityisnotaffected.SotheperceptionandattitudeofShanghairesidentsinenvironmentalawarenessandecologicalresponsibilityremaintobeimproved.
