Abstract：HighermarketplexityandincreasingpetitiveintensityareforcingtraditionalB2Btradingpaniestochangetheirpositionstoproductiveservicesprovider,andbusinessmodelwaschangedfromgoodsdeliveryservicestocontinuouslyextendingtheserviceoperationthroughinteractionwithcustomers.However,theexistingliteraturetendstobesomewhatvagueindefininginteractionbehaviorswithdifferentcustomersandservicestrategy,bywhichproductiveservicesproviderwishtomovealongthecontinuum.Theaimofthispaperistoidentifyservicestrategiesthatcorrespondwithspecificcustomerdemands.Usingempiricalmethodologiesanddatasources,thestudyhighlightsthreedifferentservicecapabilitiesincludingresourcessupplycapability,demandmanagementandstrategyfitwithcustomers.Thestudyfurtherfindsthesestrategieshavedifferentimpactonpetitivenessfordifferenttypeofdownstreamenterprises.Forlargeenterprises,resourcessupplycapabilityandstrategyfitaresignificantfactors,whileforSMEs,resourcessupplycapabilityaswellasdemandmanagementplayanimportantroleinsuppliers'petitiveness.
