Abstract：

“EverbrightAugust16thIncident”,asthefirsttypicalHFTmistakecaseinChina,itscausesandseriousconsequencesareworthourconsideration.Themistakeitselfisnotterrible,butonceitbineswithHFToperationsystem,thedamagecanbebeyondimagination.HFTmistakeintheUnitedStatesisnotnewsanymoreduetoitshighlydevelopedputerscience.WiththeprevalenceofHFT,recentsimilarerrorsintheUnitedStatesalsofrequentlyoccur.Therefore,U.S.haslaunchedsomenewregulatoryinitiatives,suchasconsolidatedaudittrail,marketinformationdataanalyticsystem,limituplimitdown,marketwidecircuitbreakers,anditisgoingtolaunchkillswitchesmechanism.Manyoftheseexperiencesdeserveourattention.WeshouldbeawareofthenecessityofHFTsupervision,acceleratedefininganddatacollection,andtryoutjointbatingmeasures.
