Abstract：Engineeringgeology,withrichteachingcontentandstrongpracticality,isoneofthefundamentalcoursesforstudentsmajoringinwaterconservancy.Itisworthytobedeeplydiscussedonhowtoeffectivelyimprovethequalityofteachingintheclassroomandthefieldgeologicalpractice.Difficultiesofthecourseandpracticalproblemsinteachingwereanalyzedindetail.Meanwhile,teachingexperienceandreformexplorationwereprehensivelyintroducedfromthepointviewofclassroomteaching,practicalteaching,bilingualteachingandcourseassessment,respectively.Itisproposedthatinclassroomteaching,theoryshouldbecloselytiedtotheengineeringpractice.Inpracticalteaching,theabilityofstudentsonhowtodiscover,analyzeandsolveengineeringgeologicalproblemsshouldbeemphasized.Carryingoutbilingualteachingisaninevitabletrendtotraininternationaltalentandstudents’prehensiveabilityshouldbefullydisclosedinassessmentsystem.
