ABSTRACT
TheEarthquakeLocationisoneofthemostclassicandbasicproblemsintheSeismologicresearch.Asthedevelopmentofmathematicmethodandcalculatortechnique,EarthquakeLocationresearchgetsbigdeveloping.Thereareappearingvarioussuperiormethodsusingtolocateearthquake,suchasadouble-differenceearthquakelocationalgorithm.Inaddition,bymunicatingandpermeatingofmanycourses,itappearstogatherkindsofvariousadvantageofcalculationmethodinthewholeprehensiveEarthquakeLocationmethod.
ThispaperputforwardtothreenewEarthquakeLocationmethods.Itisformingaprehensiveearthquakelocationmethodbybinethemwithexhaustionearthquakelocationmethod.
Themethodofsphericalsurfaceshearingsuitableforthelocationofnearandfarearthquakewasproposed.Theshearingcalculationcanbedonedirectlyonthespherewiththemethod,theepicentercanberapidlylocatedwithonlyS-Parrivaltimedifferencesof3stationsatleast.Thestationdistribution,focaldepthandorigintimeaffectontheepicenterlocationless.
Theearthquakelocationcalculationcanbedonedirectlyinsphericalsurfacebyuseofthearrivaltimedifferenceofinitialmovementtoobtainthedifferenceofdistancebythemethodofsphericalsurfacetrack.Theepicentercanbelocatedrapidlysolongasthearrivaltimesofinitialmovementofmorethan4stationsareknown.Thesquaresumofdoubledifference(thedifferencebetweenthearrivaltimedifferenceofinitialmovementwavebyobservedandthetraveltimedifferenceofinitialmovementbycalculated)ofeachstationisselectedastheobjectivefunctionwiththemethodofsphericalsurfacetrack,sotheorigintimedoesn'taffecttheepicenterlocation.
Themethodofexhaustionrepeated-earthquakeslocationusingknownearthquakestolocatedthenewearthquakewhichhappenedsoon.Comparingwiththeothers,stationdistributionandtheheterogeneityofcrustalstructureaffectontheepicenterlocationless.Asthenewearthquakewhichislocatedaccuratelybeimportedintoearthquakedatabase,locatingprecisionofthemethodwouldincreasecontinually.
Synthesizingtheadvantagesofthreenewlocationmethods,itcouldreducetheinfluencepositionstheaccuracyfactortogotolowestbyusingdifferentmethodaccountingdifferentcircumstance.Soitcanobtainthesuperiorlocatingresult.Inconsiderofrequestabouthigherlocatingaccuracy,itcoulduseexhaustionearthquakelocationmethodtodotheearthquakerelocation.
