Mechanicalcategoryincludesmechanicaldesignmanufactureandautomation,mechatronicengineering,processequipment&,controlengineering,materialforming&,controlengineeringandindustrialengineering.Theabove5majorssharethesameteachingplanforthefirstthreesemesters.Attheendofthethirdsemester,studentschoosespecificmajorsandthenfollowtheteachingplanofchosenmajorsfromthebeginningofthe4thsemester.
2.NotesonSino-Frenchjointtrainingarrangement
(1)Forthefirstfivesemesters,studentsconcernedstudythemajor-relatedcoursesofMechatronicsEngineeringintheexperimentalclassatZhejiangSci-TechUniversity,withadditionalFrenchcourses.Inthesixthsemester,studentsstudyinFrancethefoundationalcoursesforthefinalyearatUniversitéduMaine.ApartfrompletingthecoursesrequiredbyUniversitéduMaine,studentsshouldalsocarryoutaGraduationPracticespecifiedbyZhejiangSci-TechUniversityintheirfinalyear.
(2)IncasesofnotbeingacceptedbyUniversitéduMaine,theVisabeingrefusedordroppingoutofthisprogramduetopersonalreasons,studentsshouldcontinuestudyatZhejiangSci-TechUniversitytherequiredcoursesofMechanicalDesign,ManufactureandAutomation(MDMA)forthelastthreesemesters.ThecreditsgainedfromFrenchcoursescanberegardedasvalidfortheLanguageModule,butcannotbetakenasthereplacementforcreditsrequiredinothermodulesofGeneralStudies.
