Abstract
Thepresentstudyexploredprimaryandmiddleschoolteachers′definitionofbullyingandassessmentoftheseverityofthreetypesofbullyingbyusingbothquestionnairesandinterviews.Theresultsshowedthatprimaryandmiddleschoolteachersrecognizedtheharmdoingandtheinbalanceofpowercharacteristicofbullying.However,theydisputedaboutthenon-provocationcharacteristicandtheydidnotrecognizetherepetitioncharacteristic.Themoreteachersthoughtthesituationwassevere,themorepossiblytheyestimatedthebehaviorhappensinthatsituationtobebullying.Resultsalsoindicatedthatteachershaddifferentattitudestowardsthethreetypesofbullying.Generally,teachersthoughtphysicalbullyingwasmostserious,verbalbullyingwaslessandindirectbullyingwastheleast.
