【摘 要】阅读理解在英语专业八级测试中是比重较大,难度较强的一部分,而阅读理解的难度很大程度上体现在对英语长难句的理解和测试.针对英语长难句的结构和特征,结构分析法应运而生.其致力于英语长句结构的分析和处理,简化英语长句,理清句子层次,分辨意群关系并综合理解语意.本文尝试在英语专业八级阅读理解测试中应用结构分析法处理阅读理解中的三类主要题型：细节题、推理题和主旨题以达到对语篇的有效理解,提高英语专八的应试能力.
